Harley-Davidson Project Livewire Tour to be hosted at Millbrook Cubo venue next month

As previously reported here on MotorbikeTimes, Harley-Davidson will be bringing the Project Livewire Tour to the UK, although details were pretty sketchy to say the least. Not any more though. We can now reveal the venue for the UK leg of the tour will be at Millbrook's unique and versatile Cubo events facility in Bedfordshire.

The event, taking place on 16 and 17 May 2015, looks set to be the ideal opportunity to give European riders the opportunity to test Harley-Davidson's first electric motorcycle. Guests will get to ride the bike and provide feedback on their experience to assist Harley-Davidson in their research and development.

In the heart of Millbrook's grounds, 200 lucky competition winners from all over the UK will be able to hit 70km of test track asphalt to take part in the 'Ride and Drive' event before the tour continues on to France, Italy, Germany and the Netherlands respectively.

Harley-Davidson EMEA Regional PR Manager, Micheal Carney, is looking forward to bringing the tour to Harley-Davidson fans all over Europe. He said: "In keeping with Harley-Davidson's customer-led product development approach, the Project LiveWire Experience Tour allows us to gain insight from riders to help us shape the future direction of this exciting technology."

Kevin Leaver, head of events at Millbrook Venues, is very enthusiastic about the upcoming test rides saying: "Our varied test tracks, including hill routes and high speed areas, which are in close proximity to our flexible venues, makes Millbrook the ideal location for many 'Ride and Drive' events, and we're delighted to host the UK leg of the exciting Project LiveWireT Experience Tour."
