Spy shots originating from BikeSocial, have spotted the new Ducati Monster 821 in production-ready form.

It has been rumoured that the new model is only months away from being launched.

The Bologna-based manufacturer will use the same 821cc engine that was found in the previous Ducati models, Hyperstrada and Hypermotard.

However, the new Ducati model is said to have more of a similarity to the previous Hypermotard model, as it will use the 110hp 821cc liquid-cooled engine.

Also, the pricing is thought to be similar to the Hypermotard (£9,695) rather than the 796 sibling (£7,995).

The new Monster model will be equipped with safety features found on newer models such as multiple engine modes, ABS and traction control.

Sources predict that we are only a few months away from the release of the bike. This means the launch could potentially take place at the Ducati World Week at Misano in July.
