Honda MSX125 may well prove a popular choice thanks to a number of reasons

Honda has announced a new MSX125 will be released, providing it with a "mini street fighter" look for 2016.

Stealing from the 1963 Monkey bike, the MSX125 certainly looks punchy and like it's built for fun and that's not such a bad thing considering how many other standard bikes are on the market today.

The air-cooled 125cc engine will provide for a power output of 7.2Kw at 7,000rpm and a torque figure of 10.9Nm at 5500rpm. What's more, thanks to the Honda MSX125's engine size, the new bike will also be available to be ridden by A1 licence holders, opening up further opportunity for those wanting to get to gips with the bike to do so.

Additional spec has revealed a seat height of 765mm and wheelbase of 1200mm really making this bike appeal to all types of user. Other features include a higher pillion seat and short, under-slung exhaust, as well as stacked LED headlight, compact, upswept tail unit with LED taillight, and new fuel tank and side panels.

Available in four colours ('Matt Axis Grey Metallic', 'Pearl Himalayas White', 'Pearl Valentine Red' and 'Lemon Ice Yellow'), the Honda MSX125 will be available this spring, with pricing yet to be confirmed.

So what do you reckon? Are Honda onto a winner with the MSX125? Let us know in the comments below.
