This past weekend, Weston-super-Mare witnessed some daredevil stunts at the Pro Nationals Motocross Festival '14

The Pro Nationals Motocross Festival '14 made a striking appearance this past weekend at Weston-super-Mare. Thousands of spectators herded to the two-day festival, which featured daredevil off-road motorbike racing and exhilarating stunts.

Into its second annual run, the festival was set to be the 'biggest, craziest motocross and action sports' event in the country. Prior to the festival, promoter Matt Bates explained on the event's website, "In 2013 we created an all-new event that clearly hit the spot in Weston super Mare, and this time we've taken some very bold moves to make it that much better again."

Matt continued, "The Saturday night beach party with Monster Trucks, Freestyle MX and Fireworks will undoubtedly be the place to be and our line-up of sports, action and activities across the entire weekend I believe is the best ever to be seen in the UK."

Indeed, the festival was an absolute success. Visitors witnessed 40 of the UK and Europe's fastest Pro Motocross riders take on the course, which took four days to build. Furthermore, attendees were able to enjoy Freestyle Motocross shows. Riders enthralled watchers as they flew through the air upside down at 60 feet above the ground.

Event organisers were incredibly pleased with the turnout and success of the festival. They told SouthWest Business of their desire to return, "There were thousands of people there. We definitely hope to come back next year and maybe add some music to the event as well."
