In just over a month's time the London Film Museum will fling its doors open, unveiling the largest official collection of vehicles driven by Her Majesty's most infamous secret servant.

Starting on 21 March, the Covent Garden venue will fill with James Bond fans and petrol heads alike. And as famous as 007's Aston Martins and BMWs may be, we have it on good authority a few motorcycles have made the cut.

After all, Bond boasts some of the most impressive motorbike stunt scenes in Hollywood.

Yes, you read that correctly. We hope the rooftop chase in Skyfall is not the only Bond bike moment you can bring to mind - Bond has only had 22 other films in which to get his CBT done. Here are our six favourite James Bond moments on two wheels.

For Your Eyes Only (1981)

Roger Moore is not exactly known as your archetypal action man. Double entendres and pigeon double takes are more of a staple for his 007. In 'For Your Eyes Only', however, Sir Roger gets gritty enough to give even Sean Connery a run for his money.

Bond is skiing away from a pair of Yamaha 500 XTs, tearing through an Aspen-style resort and sliding onto the bobsled track. We should add the bikes are fitted with guns, just to keep Bond on his toes.

Click on the clip below for a view at what we wish the Winter Olympics were like:

The Spy Who Loved Me (1977)

Moving onto a slightly younger Roger Moore in slightly meeker surroundings, Bond is enjoying driving in Sardinia in the legendary submarine Lotus Esprit.

At his side is Anya Amasova, Entertainment Weekly's fifth greatest Bond girl, while over his shoulder is the Kawasaki Z900.

A bike and sidecar pursues the Esprit, as the car is caught in a pincer manoeuvre between an incoming lorry and the Kwaker's unassumingly hidden missile.

Thunderball (1965)

Speaking of Bond girls, we hark back to the fourth James Bond film, as Remmert of jamesbondlifestyle.com reminds us just how important a good bike can be to the success of a film.

Not only was Thunderball the smash hit of the year, but until Skyfall it was the highest grossing Bond film of all time.

One of the most critically acclaimed elements of the picture by far is femme fatale Fiona Volpe's appearance on a tricked out BSA A65 motorcycle, coming to the rescue of Bond's Aston Martin DB5.

The scene was shot in the home of UK motorsport, Silverstone , while a stuntman in a wig stands in for Luciana Paluzzi as Fiona.

Never Say Never Again (1983)

After acrimoniously leaving the franchise in 1971 and branding director Albert Broccoli 'the greatest Bond villain', Sean Connery swore he would never reprise the role of 007.

Twelve years later he did precisely that in the aptly named 'Never Say Never Again', a remake of Thunderball by Taliafilm, a studio rival to Broccoli's Eon Productions.

An aging Connery returns in style as he takes to the streets in a Yamaha XJ650 Turbo Seca motorcycle, billed as the Japanese manufacturer's only turbo charged bike, as long as turbo-charged means an ability to slide under trucks and leapfrog traffic.

It is all a click away underneath:

Tomorrow Never Dies (1997)

"My favourite bike chase has to be in Tomorrow Never Dies with Pierce Brosnan riding, whilst handcuffed to Wai Lin (Michelle Yeoh)," David Black, Chairman of the James Bond International Fan Club tells us.

The bike David is referring to is a BMW R1200, which Bond and Lin have to steer together, through the streets of Saigon. Incredible action follows.

It is a shoo-in to make the line up of the London Film Museum exhibition, having previously appearing in the Bond in Motion exhibit in Beaulieu.

Quantum Of Solace (2008)

Skyfall is a great film, with great stunts and a fantastic Honda headline act, but Quantum of Solace is at least as good, and it has the most underrated bike sequence to back that claim up.

Below is the moment when Daniel Craig's James Bond acquires a four stroke Montesa Cota 4RT bike from an oblivious henchman, in pursuit of Camille, aka Olga Kurylenko.

Unfortunately Camille is swiftly abducted to a yacht. If only James Bond could weave magic with a trials bike...

So there you have it. The next time any action star tries to muscle onto two-wheeled turf, you ought to know 007 probably got there first.

We mention Jack Ryan's recent choice of a Ducati Diavel to David, Chairman of the James Bond Fan Club.

"Jack Ryan can please himself - he's not James Bond!"

He's got a good point there.
