As February moves ever closer, the MCN motorcycle show has begun releasing information to the biking public regarding what will be on show come the 14th.

And there seems to be enough already to whet the appetite of any classic motorcycle enthusiasts out there.

Best known for co-presenting Top Gear on BBC One, James May has been announced as a guest to appear alongside Honda expert David Silver, to showcase no less than 12 classic Honda motorbikes.

In a selection made up of the two's larger personal collections, the bikes on show will include James May's blue and silver CB250KO, which featured in the television show Man Lab, as well as an extremely rare C71.

Better known for his four-wheeled pursuits, James May recently showed off his other, two-wheeled side, when he completed a lap of the Isle of Man TT circuit in a hand-built Meccano motorbike.

And it seems that his passion for bikes goes further than the passing phase of many celebrities, with his comprehensive collection set to proudly showcase Japanese ingenuity and engineering in all its glory.

The full list of bikes is as follows:

  • 1960 CS71 Dream Sports
  • 1964 CYB92 Benly
  • 1964 CYB77
  • 1963 C92
  • 1969 CB250K0
  • 1976 CB550F2
  • 1975 CB400F
  • 1970 CB750K0
  • 1970 SS125
