On a trip that will hopefully see him visit 52 capital cities consecutively on a motorbike, 22 year-old Rhys Lawrey looks set to squash the current Guinness World Record of five, as well as become the youngest person to circumnavigate the world by motorcycle.

Lawrey's double record-breaking attempt, which began Friday (3 May), is made even more impressive (if that's actually possible) by the fact that he will be raising money for The Prince's Trust, one of the U.K's largest charities supporting young people, along the way.

Rhys will spend the next 12 months on a Triumph Tiger 800XC, covering six continents, 73 countries, and 50,000 miles - some stretch for someone so young.

Lawrey chose the 800XC for its rugged off-road abilities; the three cylinder engine has plenty of torque and muscular power and also has a tough steel frame and good long distance fuel range - perfect for those long winding roads and rough terrain.

Rhys' official website, 2moroRider.com, reveals his lifelong passion for travelling and motorbikes. Having been born in the U.K and grown up in New Zealand, Lawrey has already visited several continents, as well as had first-hand experience of touring on a bike - prior to being able to legally ride by himself, he rode pillion with his father, touring the length and breadth of New Zealand on a bike.

The young biker's route will take him through Europe, Central Asia and on to China and Bangkok, followed by Australasia, North, Central and South America. Africa is last on the map, prior to returning to Europe in Spring 2015.

Lawrey reveals his reasons for attempting to break two world records on his fundraising page for The Prince's Trust: "I like to share with others and bring unforgettable moments to myself and those around me, because in our last days we do not remember money, endless trinkets, or hand written success, but the memories and moments we've shared and enjoyed!"
