Husqvarna is gearing up for the start of the 2014 Moto3 season as it unveiled its official bike for the competition.

The FR 250 GP has undergone rigorous checks and was put through private and official tests before being unveiled as the bike that will represent Husqvarna in its debut Moto3 campaign.

Riders Danny Kent and Niklas Ajo will represent the manufacturer under the stewardship of team manager Aki Ajo and early signs have been promising.

Aki Ajo explained that the riders had "made a good start" in the official pre-season test at Valencia and Jerez. Kent recorded a fifth place finish at Jerez while Niklas Ajo claimed seventh spot.

Speaking about the new bike, Kent said: "There will be riders who feel better with another type of bike, or who like to have a lot of grip on the corners, but I am personally very pleased with my machine. I know we can win races."

The Moto3 World Championship kicks off in Qatar today with Free Practice ahead of the first race, which gets underway on Sunday (23 March).
