With his nine-year stay at Yamaha Racing coming to an end this year Jorge Lorenzo has crowned off is near decade run in victory by taking the Valencia Grand Prix

The Spaniard started well and held pole position throughout the race ending the race ahead of Marquez in second.

Lorenzo, 29, ended the 30-lap race 1.19 seconds ahead of Honda's Marc Marquez and 6.60secs in front of Andrea Iannone of Ducati.

Marquez, 23, had already sealed his third world championship title with three races of the season to spare.
