In what is surely a dream come true for many MotoGP fans, a new competition is offering the chance to meet legendary rider Valentino Rossi.

This amazing opportunity is being provided by Yamaha, which would allow a lucky fan to meet the nine-time world champion next weekend (30 August - 1 September).

The winner will receive two VIP passes for Silverstone, and will get to meet the rider at the circuit.

To enter the competition, entrants must go to the Yamaha Racing Facebook page, fill in their details and answer a question about Rossi's racing history.

Rossi is currently in fourth place in the current MotoGP leaderboard, and the 34-year-old will be looking to put in a good performance at Silverstone, so this could be the chance to give the rider some encouragement face-to-face.

The giveaway is part of many competitions that Yamaha has planned for the rest of the season, including the chance to meet more MotoGP riders as well as winning other Yamaha-related prizes.
