Yamaha is expected to launch the new R1 next month, according to a teaser video released by the manufacturer, featuring testimonials from Valentino Rossi and Josh Haynes

The wait for the new Yamaha R1 is almost over.

The manufacturer has released a trailer for the new bike confirming that it will be released early next month which can be seen below.

Yamaha's 'Nothing stays the same' video campaign features the 2015 R1 being put through its paces, while MotoGP Valentino Rossi and four-time AMA super bike champion, Josh Hayes, provide their testimonials.

The teaser video does not give much away in terms of specifications but it does highlight a full-colour digital dash whilst dropping hints, in the form of acronyms, which denote traction control, stability control and launch control.

"Everything has changed except the name. Designed with total freedom. Built for ultimate control," the video explains.

The imminent release of the 2015 R1 comes after Yamaha released details of a new colour scheme for the YZF-R6 and YZF-R125.

The models will be available in a 'Race Blu' motif taking inspiration from the new YZF-R3 and YZR-M1 MotoGP.
