Riders Marco Melandri and Chaz Davies have said they are not worried about finding a new ride for 2014, following BMW Motorrad's announcement that they will be leaving WSBK at the end of this season.

BMW revealed the decision last week after deciding to switch its attention to other motorsport activities.

This situation has happened to Melandri in WSBK before, when Yamaha pulled out as a factory team in 2011, and the 30-year-old knows that all he can do is remain focused.

"I'm sorry for the decision BMW has taken but unfortunately I'm used to such situations. I'm not really worried because for us riders it is always possible to find a solution, although, of course, at this important stage of the season it is not good for our mood. I hope that the experience will help me to handle it," said Melandri.

Chaz Davies said: "Of course I feel sorry about BMW Motorrad's decision, but this year we still have a long season ahead of us with many rounds in which we want to continue to be successful."
